Hi, my name is Jingle. I was born on October 10, 1996 and my mom adopted me when I was eight weeks old. Here's a look at me when I was just a little kid. Cute, aren't I?

Here I am when I was about a year old, I was pretty sick. My mom and grandma were worried about me and took me to the doctor who sent me to a specialist. Mom spent many months giving me medicine, and I had to spend a few days at the vets' office (yuck), but I finally started feeling better. Something about a hairball in my tummy, but I don't remember eating one! Now mom gives me Petromalt once a week to keep me from getting another one. Here's me at grandma's house just chillin'. I like that laid-back pose, it suits me so well. |
| Mom also met a guy during this time, and I sniffed him a lot, but eventually I gave him my rub of approval. I don't know whether he likes alfalfa, so I have to hold on to my food to make sure no one takes it. Do you like this basket? My mom bought it at Busy Bunny , they have lots of neat snacks for kids like me. I can even eat the basket because the folks at Busy Bunny use baskets that are untreated willow. They're so smart. This basket is called Basket of Toast Treats. Yum-Yum! I also loved the Grass Bunny Ball, I had so much fun pushing around the ball until finally I gave up and broke right into into it to get the yummy timothy hay that's inside! | ![]() |

I think maybe after I chewed up one of mom's shirts (but, ma, it was so tasty), mom and dad-they made it official in April, 1999-realized that I was looking a little lonely, too. So in January, 1999, they decided I needed a friend and we adopted Trixie from the Peninsula Humane Society. Boy, was I excited! Isn't she a cutie? A really great resource for finding out about bunnies like Trixie and myself is the House Rabbit Society. They have lots of articles on bunny care, how to choose a veterinarian, and especially how to help bunnies by adopting one. Or you can make a donation so all the folks who rescue the bunnies can keep on doing such wonderful work! If you live in the San Francisco area, you can visit the SF HRS Chapter. |

Now I have someone to play with and run around after. Here's a shot of us when we first met, I think she was a little shy. Mom needs to find out how to use the "red-eye" reduction button on her camera. We really don't have red eyes. I'm sitting under the ramp on my two-level bunny condo. I'm a pretty lucky bunny, my humans spoil me! |
|
But I'm trying to woo her by giving her a smooch. |

She's playing hard to get by foolin' around with Tigger... |
|
But, I'm trying to win her over by guarding her cage. It's a tough job watching Trixie AND the house all day. A rabbit's job is just never done. |
